Before you start a relationship, it is worth having an open and honest discussion about what would happen should the relationship fail.  Although no-one wants a relationship to fail, relationship planning can help prevent misunderstandings, particularly if one or both parties already has children and property.

Relationship and Estate
With second marriages on the rise, it is important that you talk about what might happen should you separate, either willingly, or due to medical reasons.
If you and your partner have adult children, it can be worth making them aware of your intentions, to save problems later on.
